This is a development board designed for experimenting with FTDI USB interface devices using an Asix UMS1 USB-to-UART Interface Module. Note: The image to the right shows a module installed, but the module is not included with this board. The UDS1 development board allows you to easily connect an application device that communicates over V.24 (such as a microcontroller UART) or RS232 to a USB port on your PC. The core interface module, sold separately, plugs into the DIP24 socket on the board, and handles all the USB conversion automatically. A 9-pin SubD male connector on the board can connect to your application device. Jumper settings allow you to change the wiring of RTC, CTS, DTR, DSR, DCD and RI. You can also connect V.24, which provides additional signals USBEN, TXDEN, SLP#, and 3V3OUT. You will have the ability to debug communications between your application and the interface module, and between the module and your PC. Three LEDs indicate communication status. On the included 93C46 EEPROM, you can store custom VID and PID. Download User's Guide (PDF file, 171K) Ships from: USA Leadtime: In Stock
