Add-On board with VS1001K MP3 decoder, Sony compatible IR receiver, LCD interface, earphone driver and 4-key keyboard connector.

This board can be mounted on top of an Ethernut 1.3 or Ethernut 2.0 board. A mounting set is included, as well as an audio cable with 3.5 mm jack to connect an earphone or amplifier.

Also included is an IR decoder which works with most Sony remote controls at 40 kHz and can be easily replaced.

In conjunction with Ethernut, this board offers a new range of applications where MP3-coded audio data are transferred via TCP/IP. For example, the Nutpiper application implements an Embedded Internet Radio, which receives Shoutcast Streams directly from Internet radio stations.
