Bus Expert is a PC-based instrument specialized in eMMC/SD protocol measurement and analysis. Its 1.6GHz sampling frequency meets the requirement of measuring eMMC4.5/5.0 or above. A specially designed front probe helps you capture tiny changes in circuit for an HS200-mode signal, which has high frequency and low voltage. The 48-level trigger and packet trigger (including cmd, addr, arg, data, status, etc.) are helpful for finding problematic signals quickly and accurately. Automatic tests of card identification and data transfer are the major headaches of eMMC designing. The Bus Expert's software completely meets JEDEC program specifications, giving you a good solution. Bus Expert is made by ZeroPlus, a member of JEDEC that has attends many conferences of the JEDEC specification commission. This tool focuses on accurate triggers as a Logic Analyzer, and on the requirement of long event recording log time as a Protocol Analyzer; it could be used to verify functions and debug programs in IC design and System design. Through the same analysis platform, communication barriers between hardware and software can be eliminated, so you can get your product into the market much earlier. With its patented technology of a logic analyzer with high memory size, the Bus Expert can capture a signal for hours — four or five times longer than some well-known brands in the market — so an event log can be recorded for a long time. In the software, the patented navigator lets you freely hide or expand data and quickly find the error in your lengthy CRC Error signal tracking. In the past, PC-based instruments have been thought to have sampling shift of high-frequency signals and low clock accuracy, but the Bus Expert product has added a fine-tuned front circuit probe for each channel and emulated calibration of 78ps resolution, which solves the problem of timing shift and greatly reduces the possibility that a signal could be decoded incorrectly. This is an advanced product in the PC-based arena. Timing Analysis Functions (Logic Analyzer Mode) - Event trigger: 3 levels CMD sequence setting, CRC error trigger, Busy Time trigger (for eMMC)
- Protocol packet trigger: NCR timing format check, 1-, 4-, 8-bit data format check, supports HS400 mode
Protocol Analysis Functions (Protocol Analyzer Mode) - Event log: Hours to days of recording time (250 million records), CMD / Addr / Arg / Data / status full packet data search, on CRC error CMD response issues quick search
Auto Test Functions Update with JEDEC Specification - Device Identification Mode, Data Transfer Mode, Read/Write Data Comparison, Packet Statistics, etc.
Patented Emulation Calibration Software Function - To avoid the signal "timing shift" that produces wrong analysis results, Bus Expert provides "Emulation Calibration" that can fine-tune at a resolution of 625 picoseconds
Bus Expert Package Contents The Bus Expert ships with color-coded probe signal cables & eMMC 5.1 probes (pictured), a USB cable for connection to your PC, a BNC cable (pictured), an AC/DC Transformer with American plug cable (standard type removable power cable with three-pin female connector in a tapered housing, like found on PCs and other equipment, so you may replace that cable with a European, British or Australian version as needed, since the transformer itself is a switching power supply for 100-240V @ 50-60Hz), a driver installation CD-ROM, and a carry bag (pictured). Note: This item has a 1-week lead time.
