Connect up to four mikroBUS modules from over 150 available Configurable pins EEPROM chip The mikroBUS cape is an extension for Beaglebone Black, the popular low-cost development platform running Linux. This simple cape has four mikroBUS sockets each of which allows you to connect any of more than 150 different types of click boards to your BeagleBone Black. Quickly add functionalities like GSM, GPS, WiFi, ZigBee, Bluetooth, or thunder detection, proximity and color sensing, Hall current detection, speech recognition and many others. This new mikroBUS cape is an improvement over the one previously offered by Tigal. To make the most use of Beaglebone's pinout, this cape has configurable pins. Using on-board solder jumpers, you can turn analog pins into digital on each mikroBUS socket separately, and you can choose whether to enable UART pins on the first socket or SPI pins on the third socket. More solder jumpers allow you to set the address of the cape's EEPROM from 0x50 to 0x57 (set to 0x54 by default). The cape's headers are pre-soldered, so it's plug-and-play. The image below shows the cape mounted on a BeagleBone Black with three Click boards installed, for demonstration purposes.
