SIM800H quad-band module (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) Also supports Bluetooth SMA connector for attaching external GSM antenna 2.4 GHz Bluetooth antenna built in Connection pads for audio input/output SIM card socket integrated on bottom side of the board Can use 5V or 3.3V power supply GSM3 click carries the SIMCom SIM800H, a quad-band (850/900/1800/1900MHz) GSM/GPRS module that transmits voice, SMS and data information. Utilizing the module's full potential, GSM3 click also has an audio input/output connection pads (two pins for earphones which also can be used as an FM antenna, and one pin for a microphone, plus GND). SIM800H supports Bluetooth so this board also features a 2.4GHz active antenna for that purpose. An SMA connector for an external GSM/GPRS quad-band antenna is on the board. Quad-band antenna sold separately; see options below. Two indication LEDs signal the operating and network status of the module. The board can use either 3.3V or 5V power supply and I/O voltage levels, selectable via solder jumper (in 3.3V position by default). GSM3 click exchanges data with your target board's microcontroller through UART, but a total of eight mikroBUS lines are used: - Tx and Rx — UART
- RST — Reset
- GP1 — Status indicator
- GP2 — RTS
- GP3 — GPIO1
- GP4 — PWRKEY, used to turn the module on/off
- GP5 — CTS
mikroBUS Click Boards Overview Click boards come with header pins that you must solder yourself. After that, they just plug directly into a mikroBUS socket. mikroBUS is a specially designed plug-and-play pinout standard. The sockets are found on Clicker boards, these mikromedia shields, and development systems from mikroElektronika (V7 systems and later). You also can connect Click boards to many other popular platforms via these adapters: - PC — Click USB Adapter (MIKROE-1433)
- Arduino — Arduino UNO click shield (MIKROE-1581)
- Raspberry Pi — Pi click shield (MIKROE-1512)
- BeagleBone Black — BeagleBone click shield (MIKROE-1596)
- STM32F3 Discovery — STM32F3 Discovery Shield (MIKROE-1447)
- STM32F4 Discovery — STM32F4 Discovery Shield (MIKROE-1481)
- Stellaris LM4F120 LaunchPad / Tiva TM4C123G LaunchPad — Click BOOSTER PACK (MIKROE-1363)
In addition, it is royalty-free to add mikroBUS to your own designs. Visit the mikroBUS Category to see the full line of Click boards. SIM800H mikroBUS Module Resources
