SchmartPatch allows you to add or replace components on any substrate such as a PCB (Printed Circuit Board). This SchmartPatch board allows you to cut off a pad, stick it on to the surface (adhesive is provided already on the back) and then solder a component onto the SchmartPatch. There also are pads where you can solder jumper wires to make the electrical connection. Each SchmartPatch board in this 4-pack has 10 pads that can be cut off as needed, so you get a total of 40 component patches. Each of these pads supports all components in any of the following package footprints: 1008, 1206, CASE-A, SOD80. How Might You Use SchmartPatch? Replace bad parts in the field SchmartPatch allows you to replace bad or burned surface-mount pads on a PCB and easily replace the component. Add a missed component Have you ever received a custom PCB for prototyping or proof of concept, only to realize that you need to add a resistor? SchmartPatch will fix it. SchmartPatch can be used on a PCB or on anything. The adhesive backing can used to place a SchmartPatch anywhere that you need it. SchmartPatch Resources
