This is a Tibbit module — part of the Tibbo Project System that allows you to build your own custom embedded device with only the components you need. Start with a Tibbo Project PCB, add Tibbits like this one, then place the built design into a Tibbo Project Box to complete your product. Tibbit #39_3: Large yellow LED (low brightness). This Tibbit provides a large yellow LED for your project. It is a C1 Tibbit that requires the #00-3 Tibbit to be installed in the neighboring M socket. The LED can be controlled through Line A of the #00-3. Set the line Low to turn on the LED. The picture shows Tibbit #39_1 — a large low-brightness green LED. This low-brightness yellow LED module has the same size and shape. NOTE: There are four differently colored LEDs in the #39 Tibbit series. Only the red LED and the blue LED have a high intensity that can be seen in normal office lighting. The green LED and this yellow LED are of low intensity and only should be used in a dimly lit environment, e.g. an equipment closet. - Form: C1
- Power: 5V; consumes 30mA
- Requires: #00-3
C1 Tibbit Modules Overview C1 Tibbits are single-width "connectors" occupying one standard C socket on a Tibbo Project PCB (i.e. TPP2 or TPP3). They have roughly the same width and height as M1T devices: 17.4mm wide usually and 17.5mm high. Their depth varies depending on the type of connector. Some C1 Tibbits are just connectors such as a power jack, terminal block, etc. Others "sense" the outside world: temperature, humidity, vibration, IR, etc. C1 Tibbits have a single row of 4 pins. All four pins are I/O lines that connect directly to four I/O lines of the adjacent M1 socket. There are no dedicated ground and power pins. Many C1 Tibbits don't need ground and power anyway; they house connectors and nothing else. If an attached external device needs ground and/or power, then these must come from the adjacent M Tibbit. Ground and power are also necessary for "sensor" C1 Tibbits.
