Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) Sensor, MiCS-2714, in MiCS-2710 Footprint

NO2 Gas Sensor

This is an MiCS-2714 sensor mounted on an adapter board that makes it compatible with sockets that were designed for the obsolete MiCS-2710. If you have hardware that uses an MiCS-2710 and you need to replace the sensor, this module can be a drop-in replacement as the specs of the two sensors are nearly identical. It's also good if you just want a Nitrogen Dioxide sensor that's easy to work with for prototyping.

The MiCS-2714 is a sensor whose resistance varies in the presence of small concentrations of NO2. This value varies between 2kΩ and 2MΩ approximately, providing high accuracy throughout the output range.

The sensor's resistance in air, as well as its sensitivity, can vary between different units, so it is recommended to calibrate the sensor before including it in your application.

Nitrogen Dioxide Sensor Features

  • Measurement range: 0.05 to 5 ppm
  • Air resistance: 0.8 to 8 kΩ (typically 2.2kΩ)
  • Sensitivity: 6 to 100 (typically 55; ratio between the resistance at 0.25ppm and in air)
  • Supply voltage: 1.7V to 2.5V DC
  • Operating temperature: -30 to +85 C
  • Response time: 30 seconds
  • Average consumption: 26mA (throughout the complete power supply cycle)

This sensor can be used in a Waspmote wireless sensor platform by plugging it into the Waspmote Gases Sensor Board.
