The MYD-SAMA5D36 development board contains a CPU module with an Atmel SAMA5D36 ARM Cortex-A5 processor running at 536 MHz. This is a full-function evaluation kit with rich peripheral interfaces and includes Linux 3.6.9 and Android operating systems with source code.

The board features 512MB DDR2 SDRAM, 256MB NandFlash, 4MB DataFlash and 16MB NorFlash memory. The on-board interfaces include HDMI, SD Card, UART, CAN, USB Host/OTG, RS485, Ethernet (two ports), etc. The MYD-SAMA5D35 board can run Linux and Android, and is delivered with full peripheral driver source code so that you can evaluate the SAMA9D36 processor and quickly develop your own applications.

The MYD-SAMA5D36 development board is provided with detailed schematic documents, datasheet, user manual and fully developed Linux and Android BSP. These allow you to evaluate, customize, and develop hardware and software to cover many fields such as HDMI applications, consumer electronics, video processors, industrial control, display systems, security devices, electric power control systems, and web terminals.

Note: By the manufacturer's own admission, Android does not perform very well on this board. Best performance will be achieved under Linux.

The MYC-SAMA5D36 CPU module plugs in via an SODIMM200 connector, and can be replaced by other modules so you can evaluate the different processors in the Atmel SAMA5D3x series. The differences between the five available processors is as follows:
