The Ether-IO72-TCP is an integrated microcontroller-based network interface board with 72 digital user I/O lines. The module connects to any Ethernet network supporting the TCP/IP protocol suite and can communicate with any point on that network. When connected to an Internet Router, the device can communicate with any Internet-connected device.
Each of the 72 User I/O lines operates at 5V DC maximum levels and can be programmed indepedently as an Input whose state can be sensed remotely via another network device, as an Input whose state is checked internally and transmitted when a change occurs, or as an Output whose state can be controlled remotely by another networked device.
The functions of the module are controlled by a command set that is sent via TCP or UDP packets. These TCP and UDP packets can be sent from your PC via application software or from another Ether IO72 or IO24 module if using AutoScan.
Network Interface Board Features Ethernet to Digital I/O Interface 72 independently programmable I/O pins Supports TCP and UDP Commands, ARP, BOOTP, DHCP, ICMP, HTTP SPI and I2C interface on three ports (A, B and C); six other ports are I/O only Power-up settings are stored on board for easy configuration Programmable Fixed IP or Dynamic IP assignment from a DHCP server Easy connection to the I/O ports via 10-way box headers that suits a standard IDC connector 72mm standard width for DIN Rail modules Can be connected to a wireless network gateway or access point for wireless operation Advanced configuration allows the modules to scan the input ports automatically and transmit changes directly to any host or another Ether-IO24/IO72 module without host connection Integrated Switch Mode Voltage Regulator allows power from any 8-32V DC power source Power can come via 2.1mm DC power jack or screw terminals Configuration and control of all settings is achieved using the on-board Web-based Java Application Java Application is compatible with any Java-enabled web browser Password Protection of all Java Application functions PCB Dimensions: 72 × 112.72 mm Total Dimensions (with protruding components) 75.5 × 112.72 × 24.8 mm Download Ether IO72 TCP Datasheet (text has some obviously erroneous references to the original IO24, e.g. saying there are 24 programmable I/Os instead of 72)
