You can integrate two RS232 or RS485 devices into a wireless network easily and comfortably using the AK-RailPort-XXR. Each of the two RS485 screw terminals and two RS232 DB9M interfaces can be configured independently, and allow for data rates up to 230Kbps with the included external antenna. A third screw terminal interface is for power input of 7V to 32V (2.2W). The integrated Wireless LAN includes all necessary protocols such as IEEE802.11b, IEEE802.11g as well as IEEE802.11n (Draft 3.0). Furthermore, all required and modern security functions such as WEP 64/128-bit, WPA1 and WPA2-Personal are integrated. The AK-RailPort-XXR can be mounted on a 35mm top hat / DIN rail EN 60715 (50022). Note: The RS232 and RS485 connections use shared ports. This is a two-port device server. You can use both DB9M for RS232, or both screw terminals for RS485, or one of each. It is possible to set emulations such as modems, Auto-Connect, Conntect-On-Data, TCP/UDP Client, TCP/UDP Servers, Tunnel Mode with transfer of signal statuses such as settings, and E-mail Client including sending and receiving of e-mails. Furthermore, an SD card holder is on top which allows you to save your own homepage or Java applets. The AK-RailPort-XXR functionally is the same as the AK-DinRail-XXR; it just has a different form. The DinRail series has a slim profile, putting the connections one behind the other to take up minimal rail space. This RailPort series has a more traditional profile, putting the connections side by side along the rail. Unlike the DinRail series, the RailPort series does not have a cover over the SD card slot and DIP switches. (Just to confuse things, the RailPort has the same AK-DINRAIL-XXR part number printed on it, as you see in the pictures.)
