Quad 7-Segment White LED Display (w/ Colon), 20mm, TTL/I2C/SPI US$12.95

Quad 7-Segment White LED Display (w/ Colon), 20mm, TTL/I2C/SPI

This display combines a classic 4-digit 7-segment display and an ATmega328 microcontroller, allowing you to control every segment individually using only a few serial lines.

The Serial 7-Segment Display can be controlled in any of three ways: Serial TTL communication (1 pin), I2C (2 pins), or SPI (3 pins). You can even program it for standlone operation; the ATmega328 comes with the Arduino bootloader. There is a programming header on the board for that purpose, and a hardware profile for the Arduino IDE is available for download.

This version of the display has white LEDs. It's also available with red, yellow or green LEDs.

The power and I2C pins are along the sides of the PCB, which makes it easy to string multiple displays together for more digits. There are four mounting holes also.

Quad 7-Segment Serial LED Display Features

  • 4-digit display with TTL, SPI or I2C Serial Interface
  • Display numbers, many letters, and a few special characters
  • Individual control of decimal points, apostrophe and colon
  • Selectable baud rate
  • Selectable brightness
  • Baud rate and brightness values retained in non-volatile memory
  • Individual segment control for each digit, to create custom characters
  • PCB Dimensions: 1.6 0.9 inches
  • Operating Voltage: 3V to 5.5V (higher voltage increases maximum brightness)
Note: Only use a regulated power supply. The absolute peak maximum input is 6V.
