Four mikroBUS sockets compatible with Click boards CAN and USB-UART controllers and connectors on board Ethernet connector on board Detailed silkscreen on front and back of PCB Expand the base functionality of your mikromedia+ for STM32 with this shield. It provides four sockets for connecting mikroBUS add-on modules, plus a physical layer for CAN interface (with screw terminal connector), an RJ45 Ethernet connector, and a USB-UART module (with mini-USB connector). Two separate 26-pin female sockets come with the board package (provided loose in case you want to use some other connection method). If you solder the sockets to this shield, you will need to install male headers on your mikromedia+ for STM32 board. The picture below shows what this shield looks like mounted to the mikromedia+ board. The CAN transceiver is a Texas Instruments SN65HVD230. A termination jumper is provided. The USB-UART chip is an FTDI FT232RL. UART TX and RX LEDs are on the board. The Ethernet jack has built-in RX and TX LEDs and connects to the LAN8720A PHY on the host mikromedia+ board. The shield also provides screw terminals for an external power source (5-12V DC), and two additional grounding points. The notch cutout on the PCB maintains access to the JTAG header on the host mikromedia+ board.
