This shield features two MSGEQ7 graphic equalizer display filters, allowing you to split a stereo audio input into seven bands per channel and read the amplitude of each using the ADC on your Arduino. The shield is populated with two 3.5mm (1/8") stereo jacks. One serves as a stereo input and the other is a pass-through output which allows you to connect the Spectrum Shield in-line between your audio source and your stereo system without interruption. It also has a second audio input option via three through-hole pads. This shield can be used to create sound visualizers, detect patterns in music or add sound activation to your microcontroller projects. Note: This shield does not come with any headers installed. You will have to solder headers before you can plug it into your Arduino board. See the options below for headers you can use. The shield has Arduino R3 headers. Arduino Spectrum Shield Resources
