This is a simple board that breaks out the five mini-USB pins so that you can add a USB port to your project that has a USB controller or a USB-capable MCU. This is not a USB controller; it just provides access to the USB pins. The pins are available in standard 1-inch spacing, so you can use this on typical prototyping breadboards (you must provide and solder header pins yourself). If you solder some header pins to this and use a couple jumper wires, you can use this in combination with the ADP-5V1A and a mini-USB cable to source 5V power to any device. The following are links to bundles that contain a strip of 40 breakaway headers and a pack of 10 jumper wires of varying lengths. You can use these with this board: Alternatively you can get some items separately: Download BOB-09966 Design Files for Eagle
