The Netduino GO! Shield Base Module provides an Arduino R3 shield interface for your Netduino GO! system, turning it into a full-fledged Netduino (minus power jack and USB), while using only one* of your Netduino GO! sockets. The virtualization technology on the Netduino GO! allows you to use the shield base as a Netduino, and your shields won't know the difference.
* The Shield Base Module Beta version requires an entire GO!Bus channel, so while it plugs into a single GO!Bus socket, you must keep the remaining three sockets on that channel free. On the Netduino GO!, sockets 1-4 are on one channel, and sockets 5-8 are on another. So even with this restriction, you still will have four GO!Bus sockets available. The final version of the Shield Base Module should not have this restriction.

See the Arduino Shields Category to pick out some Arduino shields that you may want to use. The Base Shield is compatible with both R2 and R3 Arduino pinouts.
If you already are using the two ribbon cables that came with your Netduino GO!, be sure to purchase more so that you can plug in this module.
