This board allows you to connect a Wii Nunchuck game controller to any Microchip PIC development board with an ICSP connector. The Nunchuck will communicate with your board's microcontroller via I2C. This creates a simple way to add a comfortable user interface to your project. Wii Nunchuck controllers feature an analog joystick, two buttons, and a 3-axis accelerometer (LIS3L02AL). ICSP connectors typically aren't used once a PIC is programmed, taking up board space. This module allows you to utilize them as an I2C interface to the Nunchuck. The module has two ICSP connectors: A larger 6-pin single-row header with 0.1" pitch, and a miniature 6-pin single-row connector. You can use either to connect to your PIC microcontroller board. No connection cable is included. Be aware of your microcontroller board's ICSP pinout when connecting. Nunchuck Controller Not Included If you don't already have a Nunchuck controller, you can purchase this ICSP adapter board bundled with a Nunchuck. We do not sell the Nunchuck controllers separately, and they are sold at very high markup (typically about $17 over their wholesale cost), so you might want to get the bundle even if you do already have a Nunchuck, just to have a spare available. MOD-WII Demo Code The following examples are intended to be run on DuinoMite boards.
