The MOD-POE-V2 board extracts power from a UTP LAN cable network (no more than 60V DC), so you can power your embedded device with 5V or 12V DC. Power and Ethernet are carried on the same cable. Note that the LAN should be with a PoE switch/router or you should use an injector like MOD-POE to inject power into the LAN UTP cable.
The module has a 5.5mm outer, 2.1mm inner barrel power plug to which you connect the device to be powered.
