Easily add RS485 interface to development boards with UEXT connector With this module, development boards with UEXT can be connected to industrial networks with RS485 interface, metering instruments, etc. MOD-RS485 is a small module board with an Analog Devices ADM3483ARZ low-power differential line transceiver designed to operate using a single 3.3V power supply for half-duplex communication. This module can be used to convert RS232 signals into RS485 signals. The board comes with a 10-pin cable for the UEXT via which it can be connected to any of several development boards (see below). This module is an excellent choice for conveying information over long distances, allowing error-free transmission at data rates up to 250 kbps. RS485 Module Features - Half-duplex transceiver ADM3483ARZ from Analog Devices
- UEXT connector
- RS485 connector (4-pin screw terminal)
- FR-4, 1.5 mm, soldermask, component print
- Dimensions: 30.99 × 20.32 mm (1.22 × 0.80")
UEXT Connector The UEXT connector on this board provides a solderless way to connect this module to a system with a microcontroller. There are dozens of microcontroller systems and development boards that can connect to this module via UEXT using the supplied cable.
