MOD-WiFi is a simple and cost-effective way to incorporate an application with TCP/IP Stack and provide a simple means of wirelessly enabling any device which has communication via SPI. The radio communication is realized with Microchip's ZG2100MC Low-Power WiFi Transceiver Module. This board is intended to be plugged into a controller board that has a UEXT connector (see below). It has a female UEXT connector allowing it to be plugged directly into your controller board. ZC2100M WiFi Module Board Features - Microchip ZG2100MC WiFi module
- Female UEXT connector (see below)
- Works with Microchip's TCP/IP stack
- On-board antenna
- PCB: FR-4, 1.5 mm (0.062"), soldermask, silkscreen component print
- Dimensions: 40 × 24 mm (1.55 × 0.95")
- Space between the pin rows: 20 mm (0.8")
UEXT Connector The UEXT connector provides a solderless way to connect this WiFi module to a system with a microcontroller. This board can be plugged into dozens of microcontroller systems and development boards that have UEXT headers. The WiFi module itself has FCC approval, but the entire board does not. If you're in the U.S., this means you can only use this board for evaluation and your own development. If you want to sell this unit to end users, you will have to get your entire application FCC approved before doing so.
