Digital-to-analog conversion is part and parcel of almost all industrial applications. Microchip has developed a nice chip, MCP4725, which works over I2C / TWI protocol to receive digital input and processes it to generate analog output with 12-bit precision. This device provides an easy interface to any microcontroller having built-in I2C / TWI. This module breaks out the pins of the MCP4725 to standard 0.1" header pins, so you can start experimenting with DAC quickly. The board comes assembled as shown.
