This programmer is based on a JDM design. It takes all necessary signals and power supply from the RS232 serial port. It supports 8/18/28/40-pin PIC microcontrollers that allow serial programming, and I2C EEPROMs. The PIC-PG2 has an ICSP connector and cable for in-circuit programming, compatible with many PIC development boards. The programmer is intended to be used with the free ICPROG programming software, and supports all devices that are supported by that software. Additionally, support for the 16F628A, 16F87, and 16F88 -- as well as most popular Flash PICs -- is provided by the WinPIC software. Dimensions: 50 x 30 mm (1.95 x 1.2") + 30 cm (12") ICSP cable By soldering an optional ZIF socket in place of the 40-pin DIP socket, you'll be able to insert and remove devices for easily for testing and programming purposes.
