For MSP430F1xx devices that do not have integrated brownout reset protection, this plug can be used to add a TPS3838 Supply Voltage Supervisor. It simply plugs into the target board's JTAG header, taking no more space than the JTAG connector itself.

If you would prefer to keep your JTAG header available, you can purchase this same product in a wafer form that can be soldered to the bottom of your board beneath the JTAG header.
