Water Leakage / Liquid Detection Sensor (Point)

The TANE WS-1 W1212 sensor bases its operation on the variation in resistance between its two contacts in the presence of liquid to commute a switch from open to closed, switching to open again when the liquid disappears (not recommended for high-viscosity liquids which may remain between the terminals, preventing the switch from re-opening).

You do not need to completely immerse this sensor. It is designed for external mounting to a non-metal container. (A conductive container would interfere with the sensor's operation.)
