The UT232R-200 is a premium USB to RS232 converter cable.

The electronics, including FTDI's FT232R chip are housed in the DB9 connector. The cable is 2m (6 ft) long.

The UT232R-200 cable works with FTDI's Microsoft WHQL certified VCP drivers for Windows. Drivers for the Apple Mac, Linux and Windows XP, Vista, Win7 are available. The driver installs a virtual COM port on your PC that looks to application software like a real physical serial port

This is the "bulk" version of the cable which does not ship with any drivers, instructions or software. You can download the VCP drivers and installation instructions from FTDI's website.

The UT232R-200 uses an enhanced RS232 level converter and is capable of communication rates from 300 baud to 1M baud.

The UT232R-200 is fully RoHS compliant and is CE and FCC approved.
