MOD-ZIGBEE-UEXT is basically the same as the MOD-ZIGBEE module, only with an added UEXT expansion connector which allows it to become a simple plug-in add-on peripheral to existing systems (see below). The board features an 8-bit PIC18F26K20 processor running an open-source MiWi/Zigbee stack, connected to an MRF24J40 802.15.4-compatible 2.4GHz radio module. In addition, the module has an on-board digital temperature sensor for remote temperature reporting. Should you need or want to re-program the on-board PIC18F26K20 microcontroller, the board has a six-pin mini ICSP connector. An inexpensive programming option would be the PIC-KIT3 plus the PIC-Mini-ICD-6 adapter. ZigBee Transceiver Add-on Module Features - CPU: PIC18F26K20
