In-System Programming Adapter for connecting between PIC target boards and PIC In-Circuit Debuggers & Programmers with the following ICSP (in-circuit serial programming) connectors: RJ12 jack; Single row male headers; 2 row x 4 pin, 2.00mm male headers This PIC ICSP Adapter is also a fully functional replacement (and more) for the Modtronix PGM06 programming adapter. It can be used to connect all Modtronix SBC boards to any PIC programmer/debugger that uses a RJ12 or a single row, 0.1" spaced programming connector. Connect from RJ12 ICSP jack PIC In-Circuit Debuggers/Programmers (MPLAB-ICD2, MachX, ICD-X, ICDX-30U) to: - 2.0mm 2x4 male ICSP header found on Modtronix SBC series boards
- Any target board with 0.1" spaced, male, square post ICSP headers (Olimex boards, DHMicro boards)
The image below shows a Modtronix SBC65EC board connected to the Mach X In-Circuit debugger/Programmer using this PIC ICSP Adapter. Connect from 0.1"-spaced, male single-row ICSP header PIC In-Circuit Debuggers/Programmers (Olimex PIC-ICD2, PIC-MCP-USB, PRESTO, PIC-K149B) to: - 2.0mm 2x4 male ICSP header found on Modtronix SBC series boards
- Any target board with RJ12 ICSP headers (Microchip boards, CCS boards), using the included RJ12 cable
The image below shows an Modtronix SBC65EC board connected to the Olimex PIC-ICD2 In-Circuit debugger/Programmer using this PIC ICSP Adapter. This adapter consists of a small PCB with RJ12 jack and 6-pin single-row male 0.1" spacing connector on top, and a 2.0mm 2x4 female connector on the bottom. The 2mm connector plugs directly onto the ICSP connector of Modtronix SBC series boards. Included with the adapter are six single wires with square female crimp connectors on each end that fit onto standard square pin headers. These wires allow you to connect from the adapter's 6-pin single-row header to any target board and/or programmer with 0.1"-spaced square pin headers, thus allowing you to use such boards with programmers/debuggers that have an RJ12 connector. Also included is a 20cm cable with RJ12 connectors on each end. Note that the RJ12 connector pins on PIC target boards are mirrored from the pinout on PIC programmers and in-circuit debuggers with RJ12 connector (like the Microchip MPLAB-ICD2). Therefore, the RJ12 cable included with PIC programmers is reverse wired. However, the included RJ12 cable is a straight-through, 1:1 wired cable to allow you to connect from the adapter's 6-pin single-row ICSP connector to targets with RJ12 connector. You would use the included cable for example to connect an Olimex PIC-ICD2 with 6-pin single-row connector to a target board that has a RJ12 connector. To connect from a debugger/programmer with RJ12 connector to a target with single-row connector, however, you would use the RJ12 cable that came with your debugger/programmer (reverse wired cable) — the included straight wired RJ12 cable will not work in that direction. The adapter's 6-contact RJ12 socket accepts the RJ12 cable supplied with Microchip's MPLAB-ICD2 Debugger/Programmer and other ICD devices that are pinout compatible with Microchip's RJ12 connector, like the CCS ICD, MachX In-Circuit Debugger/Programmer, or ICDX-30U In-Circuit Debugger/Programmer Supported PIC Target Boards with 2.0mm ICSP connector Microchip PIC Board, RS232 interface, 28-pin PICs (SBC28DC) Microchip PIC Board, RS232 & CAN interface, 28-pin PICs (SBC28PC-IR2) Microchip PIC Board, RS485 & CAN interface, 28-pin PICs (SBC28PC-IR4) Microchip PIC Board, RS232, RS485, CAN, RTC, 44-pin PICs (SBC44B) Microchip PIC Ethernet Board with RS232 Interface (SBC45EC) Microchip PIC Ethernet Board with RS232 & Web-Based Configuration (SBC65EC) Microchip PIC Ethernet Board with RS232 & Web-Based Configuration and CAN Bus (SBC68EC) Ships from: USA Leadtime: in stock
