In-Circuit Programming Adapter Set for connecting certain PIC target boards that feature a 2.0mm 2x4 ICSP connector (see below for compatibility list) to any out-of-circuit PIC chip programmer with a DIP/ZIF socket. This PIC programming adapter is for use with out-of-circuit PIC programmers that only feature a dual-in-line (DIL) programming socket. It allows you to program your Microchip PIC microcontrollers in circuit. The adapter set consists of two small printed circuit boards and a cable. The first of the PCBs has DIP pins on the bottom and can be configured to support PIC 18, 20, 28 or 40/44 pin devices. The second PCB plugs onto the ICSP connector of compatible boards and is interconnected with the included cable with one of the DIP adapter boards. The DIP adapter board plugs into the ZIF or DIP socket of any serial PIC programmer, just as the actual PIC chip would have. Note that this is not a PIC programmer, but only an adapter for existing programmers. This adapter, along with an out-of-circuit, serial PIC programmer, is all you need to program compatible boards in circuit. Supported PIC Target Boards Microchip PIC Board, RS232 interface, 28-pin PICs (SBC28DC) Microchip PIC Board, RS232 & CAN interface, 28-pin PICs (SBC28PC-IR2) Microchip PIC Board, RS485 & CAN interface, 28-pin PICs (SBC28PC-IR4) Microchip PIC Board, RS232, RS485, CAN, RTC, 44-pin PICs (SBC44B) Microchip PIC Ethernet Board with RS232 Interface (SBC45EC) Microchip PIC Ethernet Board with RS232 & Web-Based Configuration (SBC65EC) Microchip PIC Ethernet Board with RS232 & Web-Based Configuration and CAN Bus (SBC68EC) This Adapter Kit does not ship with any documentation. Make sure to download the user manual from the link provided on this page before attempting to program any PIC microcontrollers in-circuit. Failure do to so could result in damage to your board, programmer or PIC device! Download Adapter Kit user manual (PDF file, 111kB) Ships from: USA Leadtime: in stock
