You can integrate your USB devices into a network easily and comfortably using the AK-RailPort-USB. This server allows up to four USB devices to be available anywhere so they can be used with different PCs. It is possible to integrate and control USB devices such as faxes, cameras, scanners, webcams, printers, hard drives, sign pads, barcode readers, RFID readers, USB sticks, measuring devices, sensors, industrial machines — anything with a USB connection. A driver is installed on each PC which creates a virtual USB interface to the USB devices. The AK-RailPort-USB can be mounted on a 35mm top hat / DIN rail EN 60715 (50022). The AK-RailPort-USB functionally is the same as the AK-DinRail-USB; it just has a different form. The DinRail series has a slim profile, putting the connections one behind the other to take up minimal rail space. This RailPort series has a more traditional profile, putting the connections side by side along the rail. Unlike the DinRail series, the RailPort series does not have a cover over the Reset and Default buttons. (Just to confuse things, the RailPort has the same AK-DINRAIL-USB part number printed on it, as you see in the pictures.)
