You can network up to five devices directly using the AK-DinRail-SW5. Five 10/100 ports provide for optimum bandwidths in half-duplex or full-duplex mode. Automatic MDI/MDI-X cable recognition is supported on each port, and the AK-DinRail-SW5 can be installed within seconds thanks to its Plug & Play functionality. It can be mounted on a 35mm top hat / DIN rail EN 60715 (50022) and has a width of only 35mm.

The AK-DinRail-SW5 functionally is the same as the AK-RailPort-SW5; it just has a different form. This DinRail series has a slim profile, putting the connections one behind the other to take up minimal rail space. The RailPort series has a more traditional profile, putting the connections side by side along the rail. Unlike the DinRail series, the RailPort series does not have a cover over the LEDs.
