K-Type thermocouple interface board with PIC16F1503, MAX31855, UEXT and 0.1" ICSP connector The MOD-TC-MK2-31855 is a more advanced alternative to MOD-TC. It features a MAX31855KASA+ K-Thermocouple-to-Digital Converter, which has a wider measurement range of -200 to +1350 °C with 0.25 °C resolution. More significantly, this module has a PIC16F1503 microcontroller loaded with firmware that allows easier I2C interfacing to host boards via simple UEXT connection. The firmware can be changed by connecting a PIC programmer to the board's ICSP header. The MCU's power and I/O pins are brought out to through-hole pin pads for further interface possibilities.
