These SchmartBoards provide many options for prototyping. Three-fourths of each board features prototyping areas that have 0.1" pitch rows and columns interlaced with 0.05" offset rows/columns, allowing close placement of multiple ICs (put one IC on each offset). The remaining 1/4 of each board features untraced holes at 0.1" pitch. The boards are long enough for any DIP package and then some. There is a silkscreen every 10th row (every five pins of each offset) to help with part placement. There are two columns of power and ground strips on each board, and easy ground connection to the mounting holes. If you don't need all the space, the boards are scored so that they can be snapped in half easily. Connect multiple SchmartBoards together! Every SchmartBoard has small notches along its sides which allow you to connect any number of them together in any combination. For example, you can attach this SchmartBoard to other prototyping SchmartBoards that carry a CPU, interfaces and other electronics. Purchase a set of the Mechanical Bridge Interconnects available in the options below if you want to be able to combine your SchmartBoards.
