This line and obstacle sensor set includes the comparator board shown to the right, plus four individual IR transceiver modules like the one pictured below. Four 30cm cables are included for connecting each module to the comparator board.

The sensors can detect the difference between black and white lines for line-following application, or can detect any infrared-reflecting surface up to 6 cm away for obstacle avoidance.

The comparator board features a Texas Instruments LM324 Op Amp. It has a two-pin power header and requires 5V at a minimum 100mA current.
