This USB-to-Serial cable has six individual wires with female connectors (crimp-on) that fit onto standard rectangle 0.1" spaced male headers. The USB-to-Serial cable is a USB-to-Serial (3.3V TTL level) converter cable which allows for a simple way to connect 3.3V TTL interface devices to USB. This USB-to-serial cable uses a FTDI FT232RQ converter chip, which is housed inside the USB 'A' connector, and is terminated at the end of a 1.8 m (70") cable with 6 individual wires with female header connectors, which provide access to transmit (TxD), receive (RxD), RTS#, CTS#, Vcc (5V), and GND signals. This allows you to connect the USB-to-serial cable to any board where the 3.3V TTL UART signals are available via square male header pins. The 3.3V TTL signals are color coded as follows: Color | Signal | Black | GND | Brown | CTS# | Red | +5V supply from USB | Orange | TXD | Yellow | RXD | Green | RTS# | This USB-to-serial converter cable is fully RoHS compliant. It is FCC and CE approved. This cable can be used for example on the U_DEBUG connector found on the OLinuXino-MAXI and OLinuXino-MICRO. Downloads FTDI USB driver USB to TTL Serial Cable Datasheet
