This board features a 28-pin DIP socket for an AVR microcontroller, header pins for the MCU port pins, and a prototyping area so you can design your own circuit. It also features a USB port connected to an FT232R USB-to-UART chip so you can connect the board to a PC via USB to have access to the RS232 function of the microcontroller. Note that a microcontroller is not included. You can add one to your order using the options below. To program your AVR microcontroller, an Atmel standard 10-pin ISP header is provided (note: not JTAG). You will need an external AVR in-system programmer. Power can be supplied to the board via a 2-pole screw terminal — 8V to 16V AC/DC. AVR-Ready2 Board User Manual and Schematic
