8051 Board Description:

This 89V51RD2 Board features a RS232 interface, Relay, IR receiver and transmitter, Stepper and DC motor drivers, 2x 16 LCD, 7-segment LED, 8 uindicator LEDs and 4 push buttons. It is “All in one” board for learning 8051 programming or developing & testing prototypes.

Please note, that the board's peripherals are actually not connected to the microcontroller. Each peripheral section has male header pins that are used to connect the desired peripheral to the appropriate microcontroller header pins. This gives you the flexibility to decide for yourself which microcontroller pins to use for what function. We recommend that you buy a set of Prototyping wires (see options below) that let you easily connect from one male header pin to another.

The NXP 89V51RD2 microcontroller can be programmed via the board's RS232 interface using the free FlashMagic Tool Software.
