Review:
This is a great board, you can learn a lot with it.
Several things -
One of the Com ports didn't work, right out of the box. I haven't bothered troubleshooting it, I don't need it.
I keep the board boxed up when I don't use it, about the third time out of the box C1 fell off, this is the main filter cap in the power section. I soldered it back on like the picture in the User Manual and it blew up - surprise.. the picture in the User Manual is wrong. I ordered another cap, soldered it in, and the power reg (U8) and something else burned up. I still use the board but power it off of the USB source. I live outside the US so I bought a second BIGAVR6 as a spare but I haven't needed it. Needless to say I won't be using the power supply on that board either.
All in all it's a good product, just check it out carefully when you get it.
