Atmel AVR C-Compiler (Imagecraft) Upgrade

These upgrade options are for customers who purchased the Imagecraft AVR C compiler V6 prior to October 1st, 2004 and do not have a maintenance contract, or those who own V7 Standard or Advanced versions and wish to upgrade to a higher version.

Available Versions

Beginning with V7, the ICCAVR compiler is available in three versions. The Standard version maintains the same overall feature set as the Standard version of V6. The Advanced version of V7 is similar to the V6 Professional version, featuring the Code Compressor utility plus support for 128K and 256K MegaAVR devices. The new Professional version also includes the new MIO global optimization architecture, which further reduces code size and speeds up program run time.

Annual (1 year from date of purchase) renewable Maintenance Contracts (E-mail capability required) are available, entitling you to priority technical support, automatic E-mail notification of bug fix releases (receivable by FTP), and a discount on the price of any future upgrades during the term of the contract.

Upgrade Ordering Instructions

Upgrading from V6 Standard

Owners of V6 Standard must upgrade to V7 Standard in the "From V6" drilldown box; no other option is valid for you. If that is all you desire, ignore the "From V7" option box. If, however, you wish also to upgrade to Advanced or Professional V7, then you must use the "From V7" option box in addition to "From V6". Essentially, you are upgrading to V7 Standard in one box, then upgrading from V7 Standard in the next. You can not upgrade directly to V7 Advanced or Professional using the "From V6" box, and must choose V7 Standard as your source product in the "From V7" box.

Upgrading from V6 Professional

Owners of V6 Professional may choose to upgrade to either V7 Advanced or V7 Professional, using the "From V6" drilldown box below. Ignore the "From V7" box.
