- Overlay Programming. Overlays are like serial numbers, except that they can program any data you like, such as date, operator ID, etc, and they can increment or not. A single programming operation can support one serial number, plus any number of overlays.

Note: MSP430F5xx devices are not supported. Also, this programmer is not recommended for MSP430X devices. Command-line Utility The software includes a free command-line utility for production programming of MSP430s. You can control all the features of the USBPPRO, including raw memory writes and reads, through a simple XML script. Example scripts are provided. After configuring the operations with the XML file, just invoke the CommandLineUSBP.exe utility from the command prompt or from within a test fixture application. The status of the operation is returned as the process exit code, as well as via printed messages to the console. The command-line utility now executes files edited with PrgUSBP.
