LoRa Development Kit, 2x SX1276/SX1278 433/868/915MHz, Batteries


This is a development kit for the long-range Semtech SX1276 or SX1278 wireless modules. Which modules you receive depends on which frequency you select. Use the option selector below to choose between 433MHz, 868MHz or 915MHz, depending on your requirements make sure you're aware of regulations and restrictions of the frequency you want to use, e.g. 868MHz is only allowed in Europe; 915MHz is only allowed in North America and parts of Australia.

The kit has been designed in a modular way, allowing individual parts to be reused for other applications once the development kit is no longer required.

It consists out of two parts: the main module with OLED and keypad, and a smaller second module. The default software configures the small board as the slave, and the main board as the master. The radio frequency, bandwidth, spreading factor and other settings can be configured via the keypad and OLED. The software is available for free on GitHub, and can be built using free tools, such as the System Workbench for STM32 IDE, and GNU GCC C/C++ compiler.

Main Module

  • DEVKIT-ST1L development kit base board, mounted in an 86mm-wide DIN rail carrier
  • NZ32-SC151 main processor board with STM32L151RC processor, battery charging circuit and switch-mode power supply
  • inAir module (exact model depends on your Frequency selection below)
  • im4OLED iMod module with 12864 OLED and four buttons (display color may vary)
  • 1000mAh rechargeable battery
  • Antenna (exact model depends on your Frequency selection below)

Node Module

  • NZ32-SC151 main processor board with STM32L151RC processor, battery charging circuit and switch-mode power supply
  • inAir module (exact model depends on your Frequency selection below)
  • 1000mAh rechargeable battery
  • Antenna (exact model depends on your Frequency selection below)

Note: When you select 868MHz, the system will come with the inAir9 module. When selecting 915MHz, you have the option of choosing the inAir9 which has 25mW maximum output, or the inAir9B which has 100mW maximum output but also consumes more power (even when set to 25mW or less). Again, make sure you're aware of regulations and restrictions of the frequency you want to use, e.g. 868MHz is only allowed in Europe; 915MHz is only allowed in North America and parts of Australia.
