Oxidation Reduction Potential Sensor
This ORP probe is a combination electrode whose output voltage is equivalent to the potential of the tested solution. The output of the circuitry to which it is connected can be read directly from an analog-to-digital converter — in a Waspmote system, the output being the 2.048V reference subtracted to obtain the actual oxidation-reduction potential in Volts.
To get an accurate value from the sensor, a calibration should be performed using a control solution.
ORP Sensor Features
