Waspmote Events Sensor Board
The Waspmote Events 2.0 board allows simultaneous connection of up to eight sensors whose outputs are compared with a threshold value and are combined in an OR logical gate. The sensors are active on the board while your Waspmote main board is in Sleep or Deep Sleep mode. When a sensor picks up a value higher than a previously programmed threshold, an interrupt bit is changed which waskes your Waspmote.
The value of these thresholds is programmed by the Waspmote's microcontroller through the I2C bus as the system is controlled through digital potentiometers (digipots). The sensor that has interrupted the mote is identified in a shift register which can be read by Waspmote once it is in normal operation.
This board plugs into a Waspmote main board. Sensors are not included! See a list of sensors below. Each available sensor can plug into the Events Sensors Board two different ways: directly via on-board sockets, or remotely via Phoenix push-in terminals (i.e. so you can build a probe cable to connect to the board).
Eight DIP switches are provided so you can turn on/off power to individual sensors as needed.
The board's sockets support the following kinds of sensors:

- Horizontal liquid level (for combustibles)
- Horizontal liquid level (for water)
- Vertical liquid level (for water)
- Hall Effect
- Water presence (line or point)
- Water flow (0.15 to 2.5 l/min)
- Water flow (0.5 to 25 l/min)
- Water flow (1 to 60 l/min)
- Presence (Passive Infra-Red)
- Vibration (lamina)
- Vibration (thread)
The lower picture shows the Events Board with several sensors installed, for illustration only. All sensors are sold separately. See the Optional Recommended Products list at the bottom of this page.
The board measures 73.5 × 51 × 1.3 mm so it fits nicely on your Waspmote. The operating temperature range is -20 to +65 °C (but the range of individual sensors varies).
Waspmote Events Sensor Board Resources Note: The technical guide lists the wrong part number for the compatible Humidity Sensor. It should be 808H5V6. Using an 808H5V5 on the Events Board will damage your Waspmote!
