The LilyPad Simple Power is a board that lets you connect a battery (or other power source) and switch it on or off. It provides a JST connector for so you can plug in any of these LiPo batteries (or use one of the optional adapters listed below), and a slide switch to turn the power on and off.
There's a micro-USB connector as well which can be used to charge a connected battery. A yellow LED indicates that charging is under way. The board can get quite warm during charging; this is normal.
This is version 2.1, which corrects a shorting issue with the power switch that existed in version 2.0.
LilyPad Overview LilyPad is a wearable e-textile technology developed by Leah Buechley. Each LilyPad is designed to have large connecting pads to allow them to be sewn into clothing. Various input, output, power, and sensor boards are available. Most are even washable — just remember to remove the battery first.
See our LilyPad category to find more LilyPad components and conductive thread you can use to sew a circuit into clothing.
