Explore the Tibbo Project System with this fully assembled TPS3-based kit
This is an assembled device designed and built using Tibbo Project System components. It contains an Ethernet port, two opto-isolated inputs, a Wiegand & Clock/Data reader port, five open-collector outputs, six relays (two each of three different types), an RS485 port, a four-wire RS232 serial port, a full universal RS232/422/485 port, and four direct I/O lines, so you can experiment in many different ways. A 5V regulator module allows for 12V power input.
The programmable system will come completely assembled in an enclosure with DIN rail mounting brackets. The system will look similar to this (but with a DB9M interface and three 9-terminal block connectors along the bottom, orange part):
The labeled areas on the box are paper with plastic protectors over them. You can remove the protectors, write connection details on the paper labels, then replace the protectors.
In this system configuration, you will have no control of the shutdown line, so the power supply always will be enabled.

It is possible (and cheaper) to assemble your own version if you purchase the components separately — or you could customize your version by moving and replacing Tibbits to change functionality.
- Size 3 Tibbo Project PCB (88MHz T1000 CPU, 1MB Flash memory, 10/100Base-T auto-MDIX Ethernet port)
- Tibbit #02: Universal RS232/422/485 port with electronic mode selection (plugged into socket S1/3)
- Tibbit #01: Simple RS232 port with only TX, RX, RTS, and CTS lines (plugged into socket S5)
- Tibbit #05: RS485 port with full-duplex or half-duplex operation (plugged into socket S9)
- Tibbit #18: Power jack and two terminal blocks (plugged into socket S28)
- Tibbit #08: Wiegand and clock/data reader port plus one open collector output (plugged into socket S13)
- Tibbit #06: Two mechanical high-power relays with normally opened and normally closed terminals (plugged into socket S17/19)

- 5x Tibbit #20: Nine terminal blocks (plugged into sockets S6/8, S10/12, S14/16, S18/20, S22/24)
- Tibbit #04_1: Two optically isolated inputs with independent terminals (plugged into socket S15)
- Tibbit #03_1: Two mechanical low-power relays with independent normally opened terminals (plugged into socket S21)
- Tibbit #07: Two solid-state normally opened relays (plugged into socket S23)
- Tibbit #11: Four open-collector outputs (plugged into socket S11)
- Tibbit #10: Medium-power non-isolated power supply with 5V output, 9-18V input range (plugged into socket S27) — see note below

Note: Socket S27 does not provide control line A, so having Tibbit #10 there means you will have no control of the shutdown line, thus the power supply always will be enabled.
Programmable Firmware Features You can code your applications in Tibbo BASIC and/or Tibbo C within the comprehensive TIDE development environment with seamless cross-debugging via Ethernet. An integrated web server (HTTP) creates a web front-end for your device.

High-level objects simplify your code and allow you to create a data-transport application with just a few lines of code:
- lcd — controls the optional TFT LCD
- kp — handles the optional 4-button keypad
- sock — socket comms (up to 16 UDP, TCP, and HTTP sessions)
- net — controls the Ethernet port
- wln — handles the WiFi interface (when using the optional GA1000 module)
- ser — in charge of serial channels
- ssi — up to 4 serial synchronous interface channels (for SPI, I2C, etc.)

- pat — "plays" patterns on green and red status LED pairs
- beep — generates buzzer patterns
- button — monitors the setup button
- sys — in charge of general device functionality

- Encryption/hash calculation functions (AES128, RC4, MD5, SHA-1)
- Byte, char, integer (word), short, dword, long, real, string, plus user-defined arrays and structures.

WiFi Option To add WiFi to the system, select the four optional products shown below. One is the WiFi module itself; one is the external antenna interface that connects to it; one is a WiFi antenna; the fourth is a Tibbit Remover that will help you to replace the blank Tibbit in socket S29 with the Tibbit #37 RF connector. You will need a screwdriver to remove the top of the box and the vibration protection plate in order to install the WiFi components (then you can put everything back together).
