This kit allows you to build a Pogo Pin adapter for 6-pin AVR ISP connection. You can use the assembled adapter to program AVR boards that have only through-hole pads for a 2×3-pin AVR ISP connection instead of a populated pin header. These include devices that typically don't need to be re-programmed often, e.g. Arduino Pro 328 3.3V, Arduino Pro 328 5V, LilyPad Main Board, LilyTiny, etc. Using this Pogobed Adapter will allow you to change the firmware of those devices without having to solder a permanent header to them. Use it also for programming firmware into your own designs without having to include a permanent programming pin header on your PCB. When assembled, the adapter will have both a standard 2×3-pin header for many AVR programmers, and a single-row 6-pin connection which allows you to use your Arduino or some other board as an ISP device. The adapter also will feature a JST connection for supplying power to a target if needed (compatible with these batteries or the adapters shown in the options below). No electronics are included; you must supply your own programmer. If your AVR programmer has only a connector for the 10-pin ISP header, purchase a 10-pin to 6-pin adapter in addition to this Pogo Pin Adapter Kit. The lower picture shows what the completed Pogo Pin Adapter Kit looks like. You must assemble this kit yourself.
