
This XBee SIP Adapter Board is a fully assembled solution for creating an interface between an XBee module (including XBee Pro) and your 3.3V or 5V microcontroller. The 2×5-pin header makes a sturdy connection to your breadboard or through-hole board, bringing the basic connections to your prototyping area without taking up a lot of space. The more advanced XBee features are available through additional headers on the module — a five-pin female header and a row of 10 through-hole pads. - 5V-to-3.3V logic translator, buffers common I/O pins
- Six status indicator LEDs: Power, Tx, Rx, RSSI, Associate, Mode (Sleep/ON)
- Small-footprint 2×5-pin header provides support and allows easy interface to DOUT (TX), DIN (RX), RTS, 5V supply and Ground
- 5-pin female header provides interface to other XBee pins such as Sleep, Reset and Associate
- Row of 10 plated through-holes with 0.1" spacing allows the option of soldering jumper wires or a header (not included) for access to the remaining XBee pins in advanced applications (these pins are not buffered)
- An additional plated through-hole gives access to 3.3V output for ADC reference (VREF) when required
- Board is pre-assembled — no soldering required unless you need to use any of the advanced pins (PWM1, VREF in, IO0 though IO7, 3.3V ADC ref)
- Compatible with both 3.3V and 5V microcontrollers
