Incremental Rotary Encoder, Quadrature Output, 16 Steps per Rev


The Grayhill 25LB22-Q Incremental Rotary Encoder provides 16 pulses per revolution via 2-bit quadrature output. Its 3-pin SIP header allows for easy connection to a breadboard. This encoder rotates continuously through 360 degrees and has a detent to hold position. Use this in combination with a pushbutton to create a complete menu/input system for your microcontroller.

Incremental Rotary Encoder Features

  • Low-cost input device (can replace multiple switches or potentiometers)
  • Less than 1" square; mounts in enclosure or on PCB
  • 100,000 life cycles for reliability and longevity
  • 1/4" threaded shaft with flatted end for knob
  • Electrical ratings: 250mA @ 28V DC (Max) / 1.5mA @ 115V AC (Max)
  • Interface: 2-bit quadrature code
  • Dimensions: 0.925 1.020 1.093 inches (23.50 25.91 27.76 mm)
  • Operating temperature: -40 to +185 F (-40 to +85 C)
