This is a passive read-only RFID tag. It's a tough tag made of polyamid with glass fiber, and can withstand being hammered into wood — great for tree identification or tracking of wooden crates, etc. It holds a unique number that can be read by an RFID reader. The frequency and protocol (125 kHz, EM4102) must match the reader you are using.
This tag is 35.5mm long and 4mm in diameter. Note that particularly hard wood (or other material) may require a drilled hole prior to inserting this nail tag. Also, removal of the tag is not recommended as it may be damaged by nail removers.
