USB-to-UART/I2C/SPI mikroBUS Module, FT2232H (FTDI click)


  • Single-chip USB to dual-channel UART, SPI, I2C and JTAG interface
  • Entire USB protocol handled on the FT2232H chip; no specific USB firmware programming required
  • FTDI Click features the FTDI FT2232H dual high-speed USB 2.0 to UART/I2C/SPI serial interface converter. It includes a DA converter and EEPROM as well. The entire USB protocol is handled on the chip (FTDI USB drivers are required), making this board ideal for various USB applications.

    FTDI Click communicates with the target board via mikroBUS SPI (MOSI, MISO, SCK, CS) and I2C (SDA, SCL) or UART (Tx, Rx), RST, PWM, AN and INT lines. SMD jumpers allow you to select I2C or UART communication (in UART position by default).

    The board can be powered by USB cable or directly via the mikroBUS socket. A green LED indicates the presence of power supply. A red LED indicates RX/TX activity.

    Click boards come with header pins that you must solder yourself. After that, they just plug directly into a mikroBUS socket. mikroBUS is a specially designed plug-and-play pinout standard. Newer (v7) development systems manufactured by mikroElektronika, which we carry, have mikroBUS sockets already built in.
