USB SPI Click is an accessory board in mikroBUS form factor. It's a compact and easy solution for adding SPI communication via USB cable. It features an MCP2210 USB-to-SPI protocol converter with GPIO as well as a USB Mini-B connector. USB SPI Click communicates with a target via Serial Peripheral Interface as a Master device.
An SMD jumper is available for selecting whether the board will be operating on 3.3V or 5V supply (default position is 3.3V). It has a green LED that indicates the presence of power supply.
This board can be used to communicate with SPI client devices directly from your PC, without the need for a microcontroller. It accepts commands from Microchip's free SPI Terminal software and sends appropriate bytes via SPI. This is a very desirable tool for designing SPI slave devices such as sensors.
